Torch Relay Comes To Maple Ridge

It was reported a week or two ago that for security reasons, it wouldn’t be possible to disclose the route that the Olympic Torch would take on it’s trip through Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows on Monday, February the 8th.  Thankfully, the District has now posted the information on their website at http://mapleridge.ca/assets/Default/Parks~and~Leisure~Services/pdfs/events/Maple_Ridge_Olympic_Relay_Route_Map.pdf for everyone to have a look at.

How To Spend Thanksgiving In Maple Ridge

While this is the weekend for being with family, there’s absolutely no reason to spend it sitting at home, particularly with the weather being as good as it’s supposed to be.  So here’s a few things that you might consider doing this Saturday:

Hot on the heels of the Terry Fox Run, the Cops for Cancer Tour de Coast is taking place between September 23rd and October 1st.  About a hundred law enforcement officers from around the Lower Mainland will be taking part in the event, which will bring them to the Ridge Meadows area next Tuesday and Wednesday (September 29th and 30th).
